Fasting is...Easy?
Hi Everyone, I am Zikra (as you know) and i am going to share my feelings on fasting (in Islam).
So I've been fasting from Age 7 and it has been easy ever since. As a usual routine for all i wake up before the morning prayer (Fajr) and have a meal to run with for the whole Islamic day. I live my day without food or water till the evening prayer (Maghrib). Once the call to prayer (athan) is started, we break our fast and have a meal filling half and a quarter of our belly leaving at least quarter space. Men normally eat quarter of the meal, go to prayer and then finish the rest of the meal..
Fasting is no big deal for me (Thanks to Allah, Alhamdulillah). As i am used to fast the obligatory ones, i fast the voluntary ones too like today. In exactly three days in my locations it is Eid al Adha and therefore some Muslims (including me) fast for 10 days (before the festival). It's been told by our beloved prophet that these ten days are the best days in the world and that there are no good deeds greatly rewarded by Allah than these 10 days.
This implies that we Muslims must perform as many good deeds as possible in these ten days.
Fasting is easy for me and my feelings is that not only is it a worship for us Muslims but it also is very beneficial to keep us fit.
